Meet my new favorite summer shooting location. Lush greenery, check. Pond, check. Weeping willow, check!!!!! Love this so much. At sunset the golden rays of sun just peek through the tree branches and leaves. Absolutely gorgeous. I technically found this spot last summer, but couldn’t figure out how to get clients here without a 10-15 minute walk along a busy road. Don’t get me wrong, I thought about it. I even started toying with the idea of hiring someone to shuttle me and clients back and forth from the nearest parking lot. Yes, I realized that would be totally crazy (and sort of brilliant). But anyway, I sort of gave up on it.

After the weather warmed up this year I started thinking about this spot again. Thanks to my friend Google Earth, I found a semi-hidden, small parking area on the other side of the area I had discovered last summer. VICTORY!!!!!! No but seriously, I may have cried some happy tears and done one epic happy dance when I realized I could shoot here after all. I’m not ashamed, and you would have too.

This was my second evening shooting here, and I look forward to coming back many times this summer. I’m especially excited to do my next maternity session here. I have some seriously gorgeous ideas!!! So if you or someone you know has been thinking about having maternity photos done soon, call me! There is one major drawback to this sweet spot. Quite possibly the most annoying insect on the planet, also know as the state bird here in MN, mosquitoes. We hosed ourselves in repellent, but they were relentless. Still not enough to keep me away from this place 🙂
